Blue Experience has been operating in Akumal for over 15 years now, and we still feel the excitement of sharing the outstanding diving experiences that the Riviera Maya region has to offer. From grumpy turtles in the protected reefs of the beautiful Akumal Bay area, up to the thrill of diving in the crystal clear water of an ancient Mayan cenote or a millenary cave, our highly trained multilingual staff of fully certified PADI dive instructors are always more than happy to assist, have a chat and learn from all of our diving buddies. Blue Experience does an outstanding job! I’ve been diving with many different dive shops over the years and they definitely are one of the best. Sarah is very efficient in helping you coordinate your dives and she communicates both clearly and effectively. I dove with both Léa in Akumal and Eduardo at Chikin Ha and both dives were well coordinated, educational, and fun! If you haven’t experienced a halocline in a Cenote, Chikin Ha is worth a visit. If you’re looking for a top notch dive shop that believes in excellent customer service and providing an enjoyable diving vacation for all levels of diving, Blue Experience can’t be beat!

Also they took us to the right places so that we got to see turtles, lion fish, morays and even a nurse shark! Our group was limited to 4 so that it was a very pleasant dive and they made sure everyone was comfortable and felt safe.

We stayed at the Bahia Principe down the road a bit, so they were able to pick us up and drop us off, such an amazing service!! We did 3 two tank dives. Akumal reef, Cozumel, and Dos Ojos cenote. All were wonderful dive experiences and the team took excellent care of us. They are so personable and kind, it felt like diving with great friends. We’ve never had such amazing service from a dive shop, these guys are truly the best and we can’t wait to come back!!

Blue Experience is situated right in the heart of the Riviera Maya at the Grand Sirenis complex in Plaza Xaac, approximately halfway between the busy town of Playa Del Carmen and the Mayan ruins of Tulum, about 1 hour south of Cancun airport.
Welcome to what is considered to be the Second Largest Barrier Reef in the world here in Akumal. A huge variety of sea life and varied underwater sceneries await you on the daily “2 tank” dives with Blue Experience. From 10-12m (35-45ft) down to 25-30m (80-100ft) there are many canyons and large coral formations, ideal for finding turtles, morays, lionfish, and much more.
